What is the procedure for labiaplasty?

Labiaplasty includes direct stitching after removing the excess tissue. The wedge, which preserves a natural border after a pie-shaped piece of tissue has been removed, is the next widely used method. In the same procedure, extra clitoral hood folds can also be decreased. The usual method of closure is with absorbable stitches.

What is the recovery like post a labiaplasty procedure?

Itching and swelling are two normal symptoms you could encounter in the initial stages after healing. Swelling often peaks 2 to 3 days after surgery and then gradually subsides over the following week. In the first week following labiaplasty surgery, itching is quite common. After surgery, it’s a good idea to limit your physical activities. Within 2 to 4 weeks of surgery, most women resume their active lifestyles and workout regimens. While it may take 6 to 8 weeks for you to resume sexual activity, you must first speak with your surgeon to confirm your recovery.
